Night Patrol Officer (Full-time)

Location: Walthamstow, East London

Type of Contract: Permanent, full-time

Hours of Work: 42 hours per week

Shift Pattern: 6 nights on 3 nights off, 3 shifts covering 9pm to 8am

Salary: £21,921 per annum

YMCA East London provides accommodation and support to over 350 single homeless residents. It also has a Health and Wellbeing Centre and a Community Café that are open to the public.

We are seeking a self-motivated, professional individual to provide an excellent level of customer service and the ability to maintain the safety of personnel and buildings.

About the job:

You will be the first point of contact for our residents and gym members and members of the public visiting the building. You will be responsible for maintaining the safety of all personnel in the building through regular patrols and security checks of all the accommodation buildings and outside areas.

You will work with residents to ensure that the hotel is safe and that anti-social behaviour is kept to a minimum, responding appropriately to incidents and applying correct procedures.

About you:

You will have at least 2 years’ experience working in a customer service environment providing an excellent service. Experience of working with young people would be an advantage. The ability to remain calm and professional whilst under pressure is essential as is being able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
